Abstract
- Pulse code modulation is one of the techniques in data or voice telecommunication. Commonly, the PCM telemetry data is useful in aerospace communication, such as in aircraft, satellite, rocket, and UAV. Today, the research about PCM in Rocket Technology Center, LAPAN is very important to improve the telemetry data on the rocket to the ground station and vice versa. This paper proposes the design of PCM encoder with FPGA Cyclone V. The input of the ADC is analog signal like potentiometer and the output will be monitored by an oscilloscope to see the PCM signal. The PCM signal and clock generator is shown on the oscilloscope as the information that the preliminary design of PCM encoder has been done.
