Abstract
- Electrocardiogram (ECG) represents the electrical activity of the heart which is used for the diagnosis purpose by the doctors. This paper proposed a method of converting printed ECG data into digital electrocardiogram (ECG) signals. We have developed a system that converts scanned ECG stripped taken from MIT-BIH Normal Sinus Rhythm/ Arrhythmia Database and also data from real patients’ records taken from hospitals into samples as text using digital image processing techniques. Digital data obtained using our proposed model retains all the ECG information of the raw data with precision. The proposed method is reliable for diagnosing ECG based analysis and different cardiac diseases.
