Abstract
- The parameters of a low-pressure glow discharge in neon with solid microparticles are experimentally and numerically studied in order to determine the region of the existence of charged dust clouds that most strongly affect the electrophysical parameters of a gas-discharge plasma in neon. It is shown that dust clouds with the maximum total negative charge are formed at the average electron density of 108 cm–3 over the volume of the discharge. The obtained values of the plasma parameters with dust clouds are close to the values characteristic of the disturbed states of the ionosphere.
