Quantification of the PO⋯HN hydrogen bond in the binding of creatinine with phosphonate calix[4]pyrroles

We thermodynamically characterize the inclusion complexes between mono- and bis-phosphonate calix[4]pyrrole cavitands with hexyl-creatinine and estimated the energetic contribution provided by the intramolecular PO⋯HN hydrogen bond.
