Abstract: This chapter gives an overview of three-dimensional (3D) textiles in sports and leisure clothing with respect to manufacturing processes and product requirements. The chapter first reviews key manufacturing methods of 3D textiles. It then discusses the requirements of 3D textiles for sports and recreational clothing. Finally applications of 3D textiles for sports and recreational clothing are presented.
