Researching women's lives

This article describes the author's recent visits to four countries in East Central Europe (Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and the former East Germany), during which she met with feminist researchers to discuss research methods for studying women's lives during the current upheavals. The focus was primarily on the methods used in the projects undertaken by the Mass Observation Archive at Sussex University.
