Abstract

Humans are a social species and spent most of their time interacting with many people and forming relationships with a significantly smaller subset of these people. While the previous chapter focused on dyadic interactions and the formation of dyadic relationships, it is clearly the case that much of social life takes place in the context of more than two people—sometimes in the context of dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of people.
