Temperaturabhängigkeit des Protonen-Effluxes in Blattzellen von Begonia

Summary The proton efflux from Begonia leaf cells is only slightly enhanced by increasing temperature up to a critical (~ 50 °C) temperature. Above 50 °C the proton efflux suddenly increases reaching about 10 times higher values. This indicates a remarkable thermal stability of the tonoplast and/or plasmalemma, which is, however, influenced by external ion concentrations.
