Brief of Amici Curiae Fourth Amendment Scholars in Support of Petitioner, Torres v. Madrid, 19-292

Amici curiae are criminal procedure professors and scholars who teach, study, and write about the Fourth Amendment. Amici believe this case presents fundamental issues concerning the scope of a "seizure" under the Fourth Amendment. Amici are of the view that a Fourth Amendment "seizure" has occurred when a suspect is intentionally shot by law enforcement yet evades arrest.
