Abstract
- A comprehensive analysis on a novel topology of Boost converter with passive LC3 configuration has been proposed in this paper. The proposed DC-DC converter achieves a higher efficiency when compared with conventional Boost converter, having maximum efficiency of 98.26%. Its AC-DC topology also achieves similar results, having better performance in efficiency, power factor and THD. Power factor and THD are further improved by integrating a PI controller, achieving a power factor of 0.9904 and THD of 11.67%. Finally a comparison between rippled and unrippled DC source is shown in this paper. All the results are validated by using PSIM.
