Abstract
- The RBE of the Fermilab fast neutron beam (anti E = 25 MeV) relative to 6-MeV photons has been studied for gastrointestinal and hemopoietic syndromes in the mouse. Dose fractionation experiments have allowed characterization of the RBE as a function of neutron dose, and the calculation of cellular survival kinetic parameters and RBE coefficients. The data obtained indicate the Fermilab beam to have a biological effect which is very similar to that of the 50-MeV d ..-->.. Be TAMVEC beam.
