Abstract
- This paper presents an analysis for the PIM behavior on coaxial connector using statistical method. A novel PIM prediction method for coaxial connector considering random contact behavior is proposed and demonstrated. In this work, by using numerical approximation to reconstruct the micro contact force on contact surface based on Monte-Carlo and micro-measurement, the fluctuated PIM level on contact unit can be calculated based on the contact height distribution. In experiment, the tested PIM of coaxial connector was compared with predication. A good agreement between theoretical prediction and test proves the proposed PIM prediction method is efficient. It gives a confidence interval for the potential PIM levels on coaxial connector, which provides a new way to predict the fluctuated PIM behavior.
