Parity nonconservation m the transition , , (g.s.) in 21Ne: an isovector case as in the 18F nucleus?

Abstract

The closest parity-mixed doublet in light nuclei: I π T = 1 2 ± , 1 2 , E ⋍ = 2.8 MeV (ΔE = (5.9 ± 0.3) keV) of 21 Ne is revisited. It is shown that the corresponding PNC matrix element may be mainly of the isovector character analogously to the 18 F case. Comparison with previous studies is made.
