Abstract

RESULTS: There was not any signifi cant difference between groups in terms of the duration of the surgery and the hospital stay, and postoperative morbidity and mortality rates (p>0.05). Bowel resection was performed mostly in women and elderly patients. In addition, patients having bowel resection had longer hospital stay times. The risk of having a complication and a recurrent hernia was higher in these patients.
