Abstract
- A systematic review assessing the reliability and validity of social identification measures in healthy participants using COSMIN guidelines. Main review questions: How reliable and valid are measures of social identification in healthy participants? What are the psychometric properties and factor structure of these measures? To what extent are these measures theoretically informed through the Social Identity Approach including Self Categorisation and Social identification as a basis? There has been dispute between various social identity researchers in the quantification of social identification and whether it is uni-dimensional or multi-dimensional, in addition to its roots in the social identity approach. This review will attempt to identify factor structures of pre-existing social identification measures and their efficacy in capturing social identification.
