Abstract

An ethanol extract obtained from freeze-dried young green barley leaves was fractionated with column chromatography. The fraction exhibiting strongest antioxidative activity was further purified by HPLC. The active component was identified as 2''(3'')-O-glycosylisoviterin by gas chromatography, W, FABMS, 1 H NMR, and 13 C NMR
