Abstract
- A series of metal perclorate complexes of N- isopropyl-2-pyrrolidinone (NIPP) and N-cyclohexyl- 2-pyrrolidinone (NCHP) have been synthesized, showing coordination through the carbonyl oxygen atom. These complexes have compositions with the general formulas [M(NIPP)4 or 6]2+(ClO4)2 and [M(NCHP)6]2+(ClO4)2 [M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II)]. They have been characterized by IR spectra, electrical conductivity measurements, magnetic moments, X-ray diffraction patterns and electronic absorption spectra.
