Mitteilungen – Communications Zur Pathogenese von Hautschäden durch biologisch aktive, proteasenhaltige Waschmittel

So-called biologically active detergents may produce direct toxic skin changes by causing the release of pharmacologically active substances (kinins). They also give rise to true contact eczema by their protease content. The significance of positive patch tests to these detergents in eczematous subjects who had not been exposed previously to enzyme containing detergents is discussed.
