Abstract

Surface coils are widely used for spectroscopy in vivo because they are sensitive and effect a degree of spatial localization. However, they produce an inhomogeneous B1 field. In this paper, a concentric surface-coil probe is described which reduces this imperfection, and it is shown how the electrical interactions between magnetically coupled coils may be controlled.
