Abstract
- This chapter describes physical methods of destroying pathogens carried by planting material and the ways in which fungicides are applied to plants and plant material. The next chapter outlines the development and testing of fungicides, the more important groups of fungicides including antibiotics and systemics, the use of oils in disease control, chemotherapy, the ways in which fungicides inhibit fungi, and the development of fungicide resistant strains of fungi.
