Electric drive train design for wave energy converters

This paper reports on the results of a project to develop the drive train for a wave energy converter - consisting of a linear generator and a power converter. Two power converters and a number of small scale linear machines have been designed, built and tested in the laboratory. A variety of simulated and laboratory results are presented and a summary of project findings described.
