Abstract: 1. The synthesis of 4-substituted derivatives of naphtho[1, 2]-o-carborane by the cyclization of derivatives of 1-phenyl-o-carborane has been carried out. 2. A simple synthesis of benzocarborane from vinyl-o-carboranylacetic acid has been proposed.
