Abstract
- The mushroom growth of portable intelligent devices and electric vehicles put forward higher requirements for the energy density and safety of rechargeable secondary batteries. Lithium-ion batteries using solid-state electrolytes are considered to be the most promising direction to achieve these goals. This review summarizes the foremost challenges in line with the type of solid electrolyte, provides a comprehensive overview of the advance developments in optimizing the performance of solid electrolytes, and indicates the direction for the future research direction of solid-state batteries and advancing industrialization.
