Abstract
- Transmission positron microscope projects in Japan are reviewed. Applications of imaging plates to obtain positron, electron and muon images are discussed and examples are shown. Characteristic features of positron, electron, and muon images are shown and compared. Quite interesting examples of crossed foils of copper and tungsten foils are shown and an explanation is given. Finally, a strong positron source at J-PARC (Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex) is proposed. (© 2009 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
