Synthesis of Control to Improve Lateral Dynamics of Railway Vehicles

SUMMARY The paper is devoted to new designs of railway vehicles equiped with the systems to improve vehicle lateral dynamics. Dynamical properties are analysed through investigations into stability, steering during curve negotiation, level of vibrations and wear coefficients of wheel-rail couple. The mentioned systems are in fact control systems thus the problem in the article concerns synthesis of control. The idea of software package for analysing new designs as well as example numerical results are included in the paper.
