Abstract

Smart Grid is one of the keystones of the future power system. Of course, it does not involve one technology, but many different ones, which covers the whole structure of the power system and provides all the necessary functionalities. Due to their importance, these technologies should be part of the formation of electric and electronic engineers, being especially important those related with automatic metering infrastructure. This paper presents the design of a classroom for students of Master course in Smart Cities, where smart grid technologies are included, so the student can see and use real systems of automatic metering infrastructure. In this way, the students can study and identify the advantages and implications of these systems.
