Abstract
- The use of planar integration for large fanout optical interconnection applications, based upon the concepts of diffractive and reflective optics, has recently been reported.1-3 Herein, we report on the use of multiplexed holographic diffraction gratings, and substrate wave propagation in a soda-lime glass substrate,4 to achieve a 1-to-30 channel fanout with high overall diffraction efficiency.
