Abstract
- Summary Worldwide, a cocktail of climate change, urbanization, and population growth is increasing the vulnerability of coastal communities to flood risk. Recent experience in urban flood management from China’s Greater Bay Area shows that building “prevention” and “preparedness” into urban development plans is essential for climate adaptation and resilience.
