Abstract

Satellite constellation networking is a kind of problem of swarm planning. Generally speaking, several times of satellite launch are needed to complete the satellite constellation networking task. During constellation networking process, the main factors affecting the management efficiencies are included as constellation network topology evolution and planning of satellite-ground cooperating missions. Considering efficient Tracking Telemetry and Command (TT&C) problem of Chinese COMPASS constellation networking process, a kind of constellation network topology evolution strategy and planning method of satellite-ground cooperating missions are proposed, after taking ground station resource and satellite operation as the optimization goal. Finally, the idea and method are simulated and validated based on Chinese COMPASS space system and the distribution of ground TT&C network. The experiments show that our proposed idea and method can save the ground TT&C resource and communication bandwidth between satellites. It is beneficial to manage a large scale satellite network in the future.
