Abstract
- We propose a tri-view integral imaging (TVII) three-dimensional (3D) display which presents three different 3D images in the left, middle and right viewing directions simultaneously. The element image array (EIA) of the TVII 3D display consists of three sub-EIAs. The three sub-EIAs captured from three different scenes are responsible for three different 3D images in the left-, middle- and right-view, respectively. A prototype of the TVII display is developed, and the experimental results verify the correctness of the theory. The TVII 3D display is easily convertible to mono-view or dual-view II 3D display.
