Predicting the therapist effect through therapist attachment and interpersonal skills

Attachment security is one therapist characteristic that has been previously linked with patient outcomes. The precise mechanism that may underlie this relationship is unclear. This study will examine therapist interpersonal skill as assessed via the Facilitative Interpersonal Skills task as a mediator of the link between therapist attachment security as assessed via the Experiences in Close Relationships – Short Form and patient outcomes.
