Abstract

31st European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition; 146-148<br />To prevent PID (potential induced degradation), we have developed coating materials with high water-repellency. The coating solution consists of fluorine-hybrid of inorganic and organic components, and the resultant coated layer has attained environmentally tough properties. Only by wiping photovoltaic (PV) modules with cloth and the coating solution followed by drying, coated modules show that the losses of the normal powers (LNP) are less than 0.7%, after duration tests at 85°C and 85%RH, regardless of loading continuously electrical current. Further the present material has a function of anti-reflection (AR). A single coated layer on glass substrate of a c- Si PV module, gives ~3% of enhancement of the light-trapping performance (LTP) and to improve 2.99% of the power generation efficiency, respectively.
