Abstract

Various teaching and reinforcement programmes have been very successful in developing skills and knowledge which required to a rescuer in a newborn reflexes assessment. The purpose of the study was to find the effectiveness of a planned demonstration programme using in improving the knowledge and skill of nursing students regarding newborn reflexes. A pre experimental evaluative one group pretest posttest design was used in 40 samples by selecting non-probability purposive sampling technique. Statistical analysis of data revealed that the planned demonstration programme regarding newborn reflexes was effective in improving knowledge and skill of nursing students (t value of knowledge= 26.18, t value of skill=31.64 and p value
