Erfahrungen mit der quantitativen Bestimmung der Versetzungsdichte im Transmissionselektronenmikroskop / The Quantitative Measurement of Dislocation Density in the Transmission Electron Microscope

In order to predict their behaviour, the dislocation density of materials must be quantitatively determined. Both an automatic and semi-automatic method for carrying out such measurements are described. A comparison of their use and of the results obtained show the semi-automatic method to be the most suitable. The results obtained correlate well both with those arrived at from theoretical considerations and those obtained by other working groups. Great attention must be paid both to the inherent systematic and statistical sources of error present.
