Abstract

Based on the finite-time switching control method, the transition process of the vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) UAV is studied, the flight control of the take-off and climb sections. For the dynamic characteristics of the transition mode, a single constant system model can no longer meet the requirements, so it is modeled as a switching system characterized by multiple modalities. Based on the average dwell time method, sufficient conditions are given for stabilizing the longitudinal motion flight control system in a limited time. Simulation results show that the designed switching control law can make the VTOL UAV effectively and achieve smooth transition during the take-off and climbing phase of VOTL UAV.
