The textbook Minimally Invasive Surgery and New Technology represents the published transactions of an international congress held in Luxembourg in September 1992. The meeting was organized by Felicien M. Steichen, MD, and Roger Welter, MD, who were also responsible for editing this book. The result is a very ambitious effort by the editors to reproduce the presentations of the entire congress within a single text. Over 300 authors are included, the vast majority representing European medical centers.
