Abstract
- The copper(II) ion is in an elogated tetragonally distorted octahedral environment in all four compounds. The ethoxyacetate ligand is unidentate in the tetraammine compound, but the hydroxy- and alkoxycarboxylate ligands from trans-planar five-membered chelate rings in the other three compounds. Cooperative variations in the dimensions of the copper(II) coordination sphere may be ascribed to the different σ donors powers of the ligand
