ТЕРИОЛОГИЧЕСКИЕ ИССЛЕДОВАНИЯ В ИНСТИТУТЕ ЭКОЛОГИИ ГОРНЫХ ТЕРРИТОРИЙ ИМ. А.К. ТЕМБОТОВА РАН: РЕЗУЛЬТАТЫ И ПЕРСПЕКТИВЫ

В статье рассмотрено развитие териологических исследований в Институте экологии горных территорий им. А.К. Темботова РАН на тканевом, органном, организменном и популяционновидовом уровнях с применением морфологического, морфофизиологических, молекулярногенетических, популяционных и статистических методов исследования. Приведены результаты исследований таксономического разнообразия млекопитающих Кавказа, их экологофизиологических и популяционных адаптаций к разнородным условиям горных ландшафтов. Отмечено, что, наличие специалистов и материальной базы является реальной основой выполнения одной из стратегических задач развития Института изучение разнообразия ресурсов флоры и фауны (позвоночных и беспозвоночных) Кавказа и других горных территорий.
The article describes development of theriological studies in Tembotov Institute of Ecology of Mountain Territories, RAS at tissue, organ, organismic and populationspecific levels by application of morphological, morphophysiological, moleculargenetic, population and statistical methods. The results of the studies on taxonomic diversity of mammals in the Caucasus, and on their ecophysiological and population adaptations to heterogeneous environment of mountain landscapes, are given. It is evident that the scientists who work at the Institute and its material resources represent an actual base to develop one of the strategic tasks of the Institute, i.e. the studies on the flora and fauna (of vertebrates and invertebrates) of the Caucasus and other mountain territories.
