Circumglobal distribution, in temperate to tropical waters excluding the northeastern Pacific. In the eastern Atlantic, from Ireland to South Africa. Vulnerability: DD (IUCN), HV (FishBase). Beryx decadactylus Cuvier, 1829 — Beryx 18 specimens were caught at depths between 643 and 877 m. Length data were available for 11 specimens ranging from 44 to 58 cm TL.
