Abstract

In this paper, the epoxy composite insulating material is selected as the experimental sample. After the samples being charged under different voltages with different duration in SF 6 of atmospheric pressure, the surface potential distribution is measured with a Kelvin electrostatic probe. The 2dimensional Fourier transform with Wiener filter technique is applied to calculate the surface charges density distribution. The results reveal that the surface charges density shows a good correspondence with the surface potential, and the whole measuring system presents a definitely high spatial resolution.
