Abstract
- In this paper, a new mixed bivariate geometric-exponential distribution is introduced. We present the properties and numerical characteristics of the distribution. In addition, the applications of this new bivariate distribution are given in a two-unit series system. Through an intensive Monte-Carlo simulation study, we assess the precision of the proposed estimation methods for the parameter inference. A real data is analysed for illustrative purpose.
