Abstract

Three classes of concurrency are identified: data, functional and procedural. Within the constraints of human perception, interactive computer graphics requires real-time processing. Concurrent processing provides an alternative method of achieving real-time performance. Examples of graphic computations are presented which are applicable to each of these classes of concurrent processing.
