Abstract
- The fundamental band of the SCl radical in the 17.4-μm region was investigated by using a Zeeman-modulated tunable diode laser spectrometer equipped with a multiple-reflection absorption cell, and 27 transitions in the X 2 Π 3 2 state were observed and measured, while no spectral lines were identified in the 2 Π 1 2 state. An analysis of the observed spectrum gave the following molecular constants (in cm−1) with three standard deviations in parentheses; ν0 = 574.612 70(81), B″ = 0.257 907(45), B′ = 0.256 345(42), D″ = 0.229(48) × 10−6, and D′ = 0.226(42) × 10−6.
