Aluminium phosphide is a solid fumigant pesticide, insecticide and rodenticide. Aluminium phosphide is used as a poison either by inhalation or ingestion. Poisoning is usually suicidal, occasionally accidental and rarely homicidal. It is commonly known as an agent of sure death in the medical profession. A case of poisoning was brought by the police for postmortem examination.
