Design and verification of double band negative refraction metamaterial

Abstract
- This paper proposed a metamaterial with dual-band, wide bandwidth, high quality negative refractive band and quasi-zero refractive band. It consists of a symmetrical double-opening ring and bimetallic wire, and is verified by classical triangle method. The mechanism of dual-band negative refraction is studied, and the analysis of surface current and field distribution is completed. Through the novel test scheme, the free-space measurement of electromagnetic parameters was carried out. The test results are highly matched with the simulation results.
