Abstract
- Wilson's unified model of benign recurring headaches, adding cervicogenic to the standard migraine-tension continuum, is appealing, particularly as it expands possible treatment options. Current understanding of the mechanisms of cervicogenic, migraine, and tension-type headaches is probably insufficient to strongly support this expanded continuum. As our understanding of headaches increases, Wilson will likely be proven correct in his hypothesis, as migraine and tension-type headaches, previously viewed as very dissimilar, have recently been linked.
