Abstract: We use ultra-fast electron microscopy to measure the spatio-temporal dynamics of phonon-polariton wavepackets in a thin hBN sample. The electron probe enables recording the wavepacket formation, propagation, and decay, unveiling intriguing acceleration & deceleration phenomena.
