Bile peritonitis secondary to projectile trauma from an air gun pellet

A six-year-old rottweiler presented with a non-septic bile peritonitis caused by projectile trauma. An air gun pellet/projectile had penetrated both walls of the gall bladder leading to bile leakage. A cholecystectomy was performed and the patient made a full recovery.
