Abstract

In past days, during the development of the project, users have sometimes been confused by how project automatically performs scheduling calculations. Failure of proper planning can cause delays in project delivery, which are not acceptable and results in business critical failures. Software development organizations often resist delivering projects within budget, on time and with the required quality but sometimes they refuse to deliver the project on time and desire quality. One major cause of this problem is poor software project planning and, in particular, insufficient project scheduling and ineffective team staffing. As this problem is becoming harder with the increasing numbers of employees and workload, only a few tools are available as cure but the performance is still not satisfying. To develop a flexible and effective scheduling for software project planning, in this paper, authors had done the survey to show that planning on the tool (MS-Project) can affect the overall software development environment and reduce the entire operation delay cost and outcomes yielded are elaborated.
