ChemInform Abstract: Au/Ag-Mo Nano-Rods Catalyzed Reductive Coupling of Nitrobenzenes and Alcohols Using Glycerol as the Hydrogen Source

The reductive coupling of alcohols (I) with nitroarenes (II) in refluxing toluene leads to imines (III), whilst the use of xylene as solvent gives rise to corresponding amines (IV).
